Rita Edochie Reacts to “Mrs Judith Yul Edochie” Message, Demands Marriage Certificate
Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has sparked reactions online after revealing that she received a message from a woman who identified herself as “Mrs Judith Yul Edochie.”
In a statement shared with her followers, Rita Edochie said she was surprised and confused by the name, insisting that she does not know anyone bearing that name.
According to the veteran actress, the only person she recognises as Mrs Yul Edochie is Queen May Yul Edochie, the estranged wife of actor Yul Edochie.
Rita described the use of the name “Mrs Judith Yul Edochie” as provocative, saying she considered it a serious affront to the Edochie family.
She wrote:
“I received a message from one Mrs Judith Yul Edochie and up till now I am still wondering and utterly confused about who the bearer of that name is because I don't know anyone by that name.”
She further stated that she would only respond to the message if the sender could provide evidence of the marriage, specifically requesting a marriage certificate showing the exact name “Mrs Judith Yul Edochie.”
Rita Edochie added that until such documentation is presented, she would not offer any further response to the message.
Her comments have since generated reactions among fans and followers, particularly given the long-running public interest surrounding Yul Edochie's marital and family affairs.
The actress concluded her message by thanking supporters of Rita Edochie, adding a series of affectionate emojis to her post.
